One of the Army Nurse Corps Association's major missions is the support of its members who are engaged in both formal research and evidence-based practice studies. Two current aspects of our research support program:
ANCA Research and Evidence-Based Practice Award Program – ANCA annually recognizes excellence in nursing research and evidence-based practice through competitive awards to ANC officers of all ranks and components, selected among nominees based on criteria including significance of contribution to military nursing knowledge, recognition of work by professional bodies, publication or other dissemination, and collaboration and mentoring. For details and to make a nomination, review the program announcement letter. The deadline has passed for nominations this year; watch this space for announcement of 2018 awardees.
ANCA Research & Evidence-Based Practice Seed Grant Program – Grants of up to $3000 are awarded every year to ANCA member researchers conducting studies and projects focused on enhancing health care delivery systems and processes, advancing military nursing practice, or improving the health status of military personnel and their family members. The 2018 grantees will be announced soon; application submission date for next years's grants will be 19 April 2019.
