ANCA is highly supportive of nursing professional specialty certification. This advanced nursing credential validates the knowledge and specialty expertise of the nurse and contributes to a higher quality of nursing care for patients in any system of health. The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association, offers a wide variety of certification programs and accredits other nursing organizations that offer specialty certification.
ANCA is pleased to make available limited financial support, not to exceed $400 per applicant, to fully or partially reimburse the expenses incurred in the certification process. These funds will be provided to ANCA members who have successfully achieved professional nursing specialty certification offered or endorsed by the ANCC. Financial assistance will be available on a first come, first served basis until the allocated funds for the calendar year are expended. The funding will be available on a reimbursement basis upon submission of a copy of the certification document and proof of payment of certification program fees and the cost of preparatory educational materials.
