Nominations for ANCA's Research Awards

Would you like to recognize a deserving nurse researcher? Would you like to recognize a dedicated AN officer engaged in Evidence Based Practice? ANCA invites you to make a nomination for either or both! Nominations are now open.  

The Army Nurse Corps Association's Research and Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Award Recognition Program annually presents two awards for contributions to military nursing practice, the Research Award and the EBP Award. ANC officers (active, honorably separated or retired) of all ranks and components may be nominated. Self-nominations are accepted.

Deadline for receipt of nominations by e-mail to the chair of the nursing research committee has been extended to 1 October 2023. Awards may be given to an individual or a team.

 Research Award Criteria:

  • Significance of contribution to military nursing knowledge
  • At least one study as Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator - Regional, National or international recognition
  • Evidence of dissemination in professional literature (published or in press) - Contributions as mentor and colleague EBP Award Criteria:
  • Significance of contribution to military nursing practice
  • Outside recognition by community agencies or professional associations - Evidence of presentation by poster, podium, or professional literature
  • Inter-professional collaboration
