Nurses have been part of the United States’ military history dating back to the Continental Army in 1776, the Civil War, and the Spanish American War. But it was on 2 February 1901 that a permanent army nurse corps was established by law. 2026 being the 125th anniversary of that historic milestone is reason for celebration! As a leader of that effort, the Army Nurse Corps Association provides this page as a guide and launching pad for activities, events, and remembrances that are part of the celebration.
We are proud to recognize the generous support being provided to ANCA as we spearhead and coordinate the many aspects of this effort. Our major contributors are shown in the column at right. We are using the Betterworld website for gratefully accepting your monetary support and purchasing the coins, merchandise and lithographs; other fundraising endeavors; submitting your story; and registration for the gala. Click on links or graphics to go to the subject. Or if you have questions or need more information, you can email ANC125thAnniv@e-anca.org.

Next February we plan to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Army Nurse Corps in the grand style it deserves, including a fabulous gala on the night of Friday 6 February. A monumental venue befitting the monumental milestone occasion has been selected for the event: the District of Columbia's Union Station, a few blocks from the US Capitol. Tickets are now being sold at our BetterWorld site. Individual tickets are $100, or if you would like to sit with a group of friends or coworkers, you can get together and reserve a table of ten for $1000.
